The Gospel of John Chapter Three Verse Sixteen

By J. Via

FOR GOD so LOVED…….

Oh what love, what matchless love,

Flowed from the heart of God above

THE WORLD……………..

To sinners lost, undone, all gone astray

Each having turned to his own way.

THAT HE GAVE…………..

Willingly, graciously, freely He gave,

One who alone mankind could save.

HIS ONLY

BEGOTTEN SON…………

His BELOVED SON, ‘twas He alone

Our sins and iniquities could atone.

And so the LORD JESUS, - MIGHTY GOD is HE -

Came to this earth, man’s SAVIOUR to be.

He came as a BABE, in a manger was laid.

Humbly He lived in the world He had made

Do we, as we celebrate His birth,

Realize why He came to this earth?

He came to die on the cross in our stead.

He bore our sins, His blood was shed.

Our judgment, our guilt, our debt He paid.

Thus salvation and peace through Him was made.

THAT WHOSOEVER….....

The tidings of God’s wondrous grace

Still sound forth to the human race.

All, all are welcome, ‘Tis God’s intent

That all should come and should repent.

BELIEVETH on HIM…….….

It is not by works which we have done.

But simply believing on God’s dear SON.

Those who on the SON believe

Peace and pardon will receive.

SHOULD NOT PERISH……..

No fear of judgment, no fear of hell,

But to be with Christ in heaven to dwell.

BUT HAVE

EVERLASTING LIFE……….

What a wonderful thing it is to believe

And eternal life now to receive

With assurance, with joy with peace divine,

Each believer can say ‘this Saviour is mine.’
