When
the Tabernacle was made God told Moses to pitch it.
It
was made of boards and pillars of shittim wood overlaid with pure gold. And
over it were four coverings. A covering of blue, purple and scarlet, a covering
of goats’ hair, over that rams’ skins dyed red, and a covering of badgers’
skins above that.
Then
Moses brought the ark of the testimony into the most holy place.
And
in the holy place he set the table of showbread, with the twelve loaves in
order upon it. The golden candlestick was set over against it, and he lighted
the lamps before the Lord. And he put the golden altar before the vail, and he
burnt sweet incense on it, as God commanded.
The
brazen altar he put by the door of the Tabernacle, and he offered the burnt
offering and the meat offering on it. And he set the laver between the
Tabernacle and the altar, and put water in it for the priests to wash in.
Then
he reared up the court round about the Tabernacle and he set up the hanging of
the court gate.
So
Moses finished the work. And a cloud covered it, and the glory of God filled
the Tabernacle.
