And
God spake to Moses, “Go unto Pharaoh and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Let
my people go, that they may serve Me.
“And
if thou refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite all thy borders with frogs,
which shall go up and come unto thy house, and into thy bedchamber, and upon
they bed, and into thine ovens.”
And
Aaron stretched out his rod over the waters of Egypt, and the frogs came up and
covered the land of Egypt.
But
Pharaoh’s heart was still hard, and when God sent away the frogs he would not
let them go.
So
God sent swarms of flies over all the land of Egypt. The Pharaoh called for
Moses and Aaron and said, “Worship God here, in Egypt.” But Moses said, “We
will go three days’ journey into the wilderness, as God commanded us.” But
Pharaoh would not let them go.
So
God sent a murrain on the cattle, and after that boils on the Egyptians.
Then
God sent hail that killed man and beast, and broke all the tress in the field.
And every green thing that escaped the hail was eaten by locusts.
But
Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, so he would not let the children of Israel go.
