THE GIFTS FOR THE TABERNACLE

God called Moses up into Mount Sinai, and Moses was in the Mount forty days.

And God said, “Speak unto the children of Israel that they bring Me an offering, of every man that giveth willingly with his heart, to build a Tabernacle that I may dwell with them.”

So God told Moses how to make a Tabernacle so that He could dwell among them.

When Moses came down from the Mount he gathered all the children of Israel together and said, “Whosoever is of a willing heart let him bring an offering unto the Lord. Gold, silver and brass; blue, purple and scarlet, and fine linen, and shittim wood; and oil for the light.”

Then the people brought willingly. And they gave more than enough, so Moses bade them bring no more.

And God gave special wisdom to Bezaleel and to Aholiab, to be over all wise-hearted men who made all the work of the Tabernacle.

Also the women did spun with their hands and brought what they had spun, blue, purple and scarlet, and fine linen.

The rulers also brought onyx stones, and precious stones for the breastplate, which Aaron the high priest wore.
