Joseph them gave them
wagons for their wives and children, and provision for the way. To all of his
brothers he gave changes of raiment, but to Benjamin he gave three hundred
pieces of silver and five changes of raiment.
When they
came again to Jacob, their father, and told him, saying, “Joseph is yet alive,
and he is governor over all the land of Egypt,” Jacob’s heart fainted, for he
could not believe them. And they told him all that Joseph had said.
When Jacob
saw the wagons, he believed, and said, “Joseph my son is yet alive, I will go
and see him before I die.”
And Joseph
brought his father Jacob, and set him before Pharaoh.
And
Pharaoh said to Jacob, “How old art thou?” And Jacob said, “The days of the
years of my pilgrimage are an hundred and thirty years. Few and evil have been
the days of the years of my life, and I have not attained unto the years of the
life of my fathers.”
And
Jacob blessed Pharaoh, and went out from before Pharaoh.
